The latest story of Kenshin Himura in Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc was suspended because of its creator, Watsuki Nobuhiro was arrested for possession of child pornography.
The latest manga from Watsuki Nobuhiro, Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc was suspended or hiatus because the creator was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography. The manga is reportedly not to be published in the monthly magazine Jump Square January issue.
This was announced by Shueisha, the Japanese publisher responsible for publishing the Watsuki manga. To note, this Shueisha has published Rurouni Kenshin since 1994.
The publisher also stated to have addressed the news of Watsuki's capture seriously and was really disappointed.
Shueisha also states still has not decided what to do with the manga Hokkaido Arc which has been printed. The previous plan, the manga that will be published in January 2018 will begin to be distributed in December. They claim to be still discussing this matter.
Watsuki launches 28 manga volumes Rurouni Kenshin via the weekly magazine Shonen Jump published by Shueisha in 1994. The manga tells of Kenshin Himura, the legendary lethal samurai in the Meiji Restoration era.
Yet he later repents of killing people and dedicating life to atone for the sins of his past. Kenshin then traveled around Japan with friends like Kamiya Kaoru, Sagara Sanosuke, and Yahiko Myojin.
