Mahoutsukai no Yome tells the story of different inter-species romance (?): Hatori Chise and Elias Ainsworth. Hatori Chise is a girl who just happens to be a slave to the witches in Europe because of her special status. He had the nickname "Slay Vega" because he possessed the supernatural abilities that many occult actors desired at the time.
His fate changed by one hundred and eighty degrees when an ancient wizard with a goat skeleton bought it and raised him as a disciple. But Elias's motive was not that simple. He was attracted to Chise not just for his Slay Vega status or indeed a dying magic teacher.
Elias himself bought Chise to make him his future wife. Whether it was boredom for too long or to continue the wizard class (19459003) iykwim ) to the extent that the magician was willing to spend five million pounds.
Is it true that Elias turned Chise into a disciple and also his wife on the basis of sheer love? Or is there a hidden motive that is in the skull?
Calming Visual Effect
Set in the western world, precisely in England, Mahoutsukai no Yome presents a beautifully European landscape that is soothing to the heart. The audience as if invited the streets used to enjoy all the natural appearance like the mountains and beautiful forest while listening to the explanation of the character dialog that seemed to act like a tour guide.
Not only artwork that spoiled the eye, the non-excessive CGI presentation also adorned the journey of Chise and Elias's story. The effects for the magic usage scenes that Elias, Chise and Angelica used in the third episode captivated the writer. The portions are fitting and also the appearance of the effects is also not as rigid as CGI anime as most of the anime Berserk and The Gift Answer .
Flowing Plot Like a Calm River
Although the storyline seems slow, the audience will not feel bored because the dialogue and interaction between the characters themselves are interesting enough to be listened to. The slowness of the storyline is understandable because of the many things that must be explained throughout the story such as the introductions of the characters as well as the worldbuilding anime itself.
Looks like Wit Studio does not want to rush in raising the conflict that became the main spice. The audience is guided first to find out the intricacies of Chise and Elias before enjoying the conflict that the wizard and Slay Vega will face.
This step is quite telling. It should be a slow story at the beginning of the story and focusing on introducing a world that is certainly not familiar to audiences of all ages. Familiarizing the story with the audience will make them able to prepare themselves to enjoy the conflict that will arise in the future.
Three episodes are the ideal number for this anime to introduce their world to the audience. So, the possibility of next week's episode could be the beginning of a "storm" that hinders the romantic story between this teacher and student.
Well in his own latest episode, Elias and Chise's abilities must finally be tested when faced with two new antagonists who claim to be "majutsushi" rather than "mahoutsukai" like Elias and Angelica.
